CONFIGURATION OF PACKAGING:

The base flaps of the fibreboard box are sealed using 48 mm pressure sensitive self-adhesive tape. Insert plastic liner bag (5H4-32L) inside the box. Pack a 10 mm spacer under the first layer of inner packages containing the dangerous goods. Each inner package must be separated by a minimum of 5mm from each other including those above and 10mm from the side walls of the carton. (Containers containing dangerous goods must be in the upright position). Use cushioning material to fill all voids. Place a 15mm spacer between the top layer of inner packagings and the top of the box. Close the liner bag and seal the box using self-adhesive tape. Space between each of the inners, internal walls of the carton and all void spaces must be achieved with the use of cushioning/absorbent material. Label the box as required.

 

Inner packagings containing liquids must be completely surrounded with a sufficient quantity of absorbent material to absorb the entire liquid contents of the inner packagings;

 

For air transport, packagings intended to contain liquids must also be capable of withstanding a pressure differential without leakage as specified in the international regulations for air transport.
